Abstract

1.We have voluntary or involuntary thoughts, feelings and action.
2.Will power can be used to control thoughts, feelings and action.
3.When intellect is sharpened to know truth, it is called Jnana Yoga.
4.When feelings are purified, it is called Bhakti Yoga.
5.When actions are performed as offerings, it is Karma Yoga.
6.All three Yoga combined is Raj Yoga.
7.Will power or determination is basis of all austerity which is called Raj Yoga.
8.In Jnana Yoga, we discriminate between permanent and transient things.
9.Knowledge removes ignorance and gives freedom.
10.When we know that we are soul, we are happiest. May we now meditate on smiling face of lord Krishna.

Prof K. Subramanyam PhD
Dean, Division of Yoga and Humanities, has a specialization in English Literature (American and lndo-Anglian as optionals) and Philosophy (Gandhian Philosophy – optional). He is presently the Honorary Adviser, Vivekananda College, Tiruvekadam, Madurai District. He has been a Member, NAAC peer team. He has authored 14 books on various topics including books on Education. He has presented and published a large number of papers on socially relevant and spiritual topics. He is a prolific speaker with an ability to weave magic with his words, with a capacity to talk to people at all levels.
