Abstract

.‘Yukta Ahara, Yukta Vihara’ means balanced food and sleep.
.Consciousness is free. Freedom is consciousness.
.Attachment of body comes from hunger, desires and injuries.
.Taking food in required quantity and sleeping well makes you free from body.
.Since existence, earlier man was eating raw weeds. Then he started eating meat when dead animal caught thefire. Finally, he started eating vegetarian food after finding it useful.
.Vegetarian food is easily digestible. It is first source of energy from sun. It contains aroma & spices.
.Cost of non-vegetarian food is high and also it is hard to digest. One and half acres of land are sufficientfor a vegetarian man to survive lifetime. Whereas, 15 acres of land is required to feed non-vegetarian man.
.Plants have less freedom of loco-motion. Animals and birds have more freedom. Human beings have highest freedom with responsibility to take care of plants and animal.
.Food should not attach you to body level. The food in right quantity which is easy to digest and gives enough energy is called Satvic food.
.Nature of Satvic food depends upon region and climate. Yoga is taking pleasant and balanced food.
